Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board is a statutory body established in 1948 under The Bihar Waqf Act 1947.[1] It is under the State Ministry of Minority Welfare.[2][3] It came under the provision of the Central Waqf Act 1954 in year 1973.[4] It has another split of Bihar State Shia Waqf Board.[5][6][7] The State Government of Bihar had enacted a new act named Bihar Waqf Act 1995 and constituted Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board with a new department on 3 October 2001.[8][9][10]

- The Chairman of BSSWF called for boycott of Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and said that Muslim-Yadav equation has been ended.[16]
