Citreitalea is a Gram-negative, strictly aerobic and rod-shaped genus of bacteria from the family of Flavobacteriaceae with one known species (Citreitalea marina).^[1]^[2] Citreitalea marina has been isolated from the marine alga Chondrus ocellatus.^[2]
