Lernanist (Armenian: Լեռնանիստ, also Romanized as Lerrnanist; formerly, Verin Akhta and Verkhnyaya Akhta) is a town in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. It is home to the descendants of Armenian settlers from Van who survived the Armenian genocide.[1]
