The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be a great option for those who want to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through a clean.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt as well as pet hair and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum to mop, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot cleaner vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home, detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device has a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of innovative features. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three months.

The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants to have a clean home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that is equipped with an elastomer pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which can help to shield specific areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some nice jingles that indicated when it was about to start or finishing its work.

Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to swap out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot auto vacuum and mop is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning job and then recall the best robot cleaner or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in an obstacle, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
